Battle Chess Clock

For playing over a real board.

Battle Chess has no turns to alternate, so a clock for it has to count a rate instead: how fast your tokens come back, how long a piece stays cold, how long you have to answer a check.

This is that clock. It sits between two players, one half rotated to face each of you, and tracks the economy while you push the pieces yourself. The interval, cooldown, starting tokens and stockpile cap are all adjustable, so you can slow the game down while you are learning it or tighten it until it is barely playable.

It makes no network requests at all, which is the point: a clock that stops working when the wifi drops is not a clock. Add it to a phone’s home screen and it behaves like an app.
